For a court hearing to see if I am in contempt of court for child visitation. The other person has a lawyer. Will I need one?

My ex is pulling me into court for a hearing saying I am in contempt of court for child visitation. I have responded to all his complaints. I can't afford a lawyer and he has a lawyer. Will I be ok going alone or is this a situation where I need a lawyer too.
